Our level 4 Plates are made with Silicon Carbide ceramic and are rated to stop armor-piercing rifle rounds up to 30-06 AP. They weigh in just over 5 pounds and are made in the standard 10″x12″ shooter profile. These will fit any universal plate carrier system without weighing you down. These inserts are our highest level of protection for plates and one of our best sellers. Our ceramic plates are made with individual portions of ceramic along the face of the plate offering multi-hit capability, minimizing impact damage. We also add layers of our Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene to protect the ceramic further and keep the material encased. Extra foam padding around the edges is added to protect the ceramic from accidental bumps or breakage. Front and back plate included.
